Stati Uniti, Christo rinuncia al progetto Over the River per protesta contro Trump

Christo ha deciso di rinunciare al progetto «Over the River» in segno di protesta contro la presidenza di Donald Trump.  L'artista  bulgaro, naturalizzato americano, aveva immaginato di «impacchettare» con teli argentati per  due settimane 67 km del fiume Arkansas.

«Sono arrivato in America da un Paese comunista», ha dichiarato Christo al «New York Times». «Uso denaro mio, la mia stessa opera e i mieri proge,  use my own money and my own work and my own plans because I like to be totally free. And here now, the federal government is our landlord. They own the land. I can’t do a project that benefits this landlord.”
