«Archangel». Le culture ebrea, cristiana e musulmana onorano tutte l'arcangelo Gabriele. Ci sono alcuni altri arcangeli di cui ho appreso da bambino. Credevo che gli angeli fossero reali, ma mi chiedevo dove fossero e perché non potevo vederli. Hanno visitato Abramo, Maria e Maometto, ma mai me. La mia scultura dell'arcangelo Gabriele sta alla sessualità culturale come il pesce di Brancusi sta al tempo e allo spazio. Entrambi scivolano in una sostanza che sembra invisibile, ma è onnipresente nell'esistenza quotidiana.
